U14

U14 athletes will complete against racers from western New York as well as a State Championship at the end of the season. The U14’s will race slalom, giant Slalom and super G. The race schedule will involve traveling to Buffalo and Syracuse, and a state race with a location determined by NYSSRA. There will be more enhanced training opportunities as compared to younger age groups.

All Athletes MUST participate in two Super G camps in order to be able to participate in the Super G race and the states competition. SG skis are NOT required, but there is a minimum length and radius requirement for GS skis. The requirements for U14 pertain to having a GS ski that has a minimum radius of 17.  Requirements are posted on the USSA ski length Matrix. Athletes will need SL and GS skis. They will also need a race approved helmet and Slalom gear.

All U14s must be members of USSA and NYSSRA. To register without a late fee you need to do that by October 15.
